Excuses, in order of races:

1) I could not hear the Evo honk, his car is SUPER loud...he got a massive jump on me, and I never recovered

2) I went from 2nd to 5th gear, didn't even realize it at first

3) By far our best run. Went from about 40mph to 125 or so

4) Another good run, but cut short by traffic up in front of us. Since I haven't seen the video, I'm not sure if you see it or not. After racing, the guy (Charles?) said he was surprised he won by so much the last race. But I hit the brakes way sooner than he did. I let out around 90mph I believe.

There was TONS of traffic out, and it was super hard to line up the races. I believe the Evo edges me out, though....it's a very fast car. Certainly not 3 car lengths faster, though.

Anybody who was out there, we never had a good run going north bound. The guy in the 240SX saying "I saw him get two cars ahead and keep pulling".....yeah, that did happen. That was our first race, and I never heard him honk. So he got a gigantic jump on me. Anytime we both took off at the same time, it was pretty close to even. Even Charles agreed. Our good runs were coming southbound, and the only car that was with us was the STI.

The reason he wasn't faster, was he was at lower boost that night....he told me that after we raced. I'm not trying to make excuses, or be a sore loser....but I screwed up the first two runs. There was actually only one REALLY good run...and we were about even during that one. Had we more room and kept going, I don't know what would have happened. I "felt" like his car edged me out a bit, and may have slowly pulled ahead of me. But mine is a monster in 4th gear, so who knows.

Either way, Charles didn't kick my ass........but I admit that his car was probably a tad bit faster than mine, that night. And if he was at full boost, he woulda killed me.

I was the passenger in the C6 Z06 and the races against the Evo were drivers races.

The first race, the Evo got a HUGE jump - we could not hear the honks. You all should know how big of an advantage a jump is in high horsepower cars.

On the cleanest run 40-130, the race was absolutely dead even, it was a drivers race.

The two cars are dead even given a clean run and good driving by both drivers - with the Evo being at the power level he was last night. On higher boost, the Evo is certainly faster.

Hopefully the Evo will post up the video of the 40-130 run.

It was kind of lame that the Evo wouldn't run the Supra; regardless of the Evo's boost level, it would have still been walked.

We (my friends and I) don't care if we lose, we just like the facts and conditions of the the race to be known.

Heh, that supra's capable of 800whp+ at least... info spreads quick... also makes it obvious when you drive around on big 'ol drag radials.

Also... we did set the conditions for the race beforehand in the parking lot... 55mph is what you all requested upto 120 - 130ish... what kinda sucks is you all never went 55mph... always kept trying to slow down to 40mph or less for our runs... I don't reach full boost but for a blink in 2nd gear but bla bla, stop posting so I can work on the vid. =]

Everytime there was traffic behind us, I turned on my blinker and switched to an appropriate lane to let them pass... several times. The times that we did actually run, there was no traffic at all... and definitely not any traffic to cause you to stop prematurely.

Only two of the runs were started at around 55mph.. there were several times that I tried to line up with you on the way back and you wouldn't pull up next to me so I kept having to slow down to match your speeds...

I did agree that on the one run where I started in 2nd, it was a very fun and close run. You kept telling me that we were even in all our runs and that I *maybe* pulled a fender on you. I never disagreed or agreed since I had it on video. Again, I let the video do the talking.

You are contradicting yourself. First off, BEFORE we ran, YOU told me you didn't wanna go above 120. So I said we'd go to 120 - 130. I never shifted to 4th in any of the races, so I never got above 125. Secondly, there's NO reason to even chance it with traffic in front of us. I was letting off A) when you agreed we'd let off and B) what I felt was a safe time to start slowing down before we caught up to traffic. Also, you are wrong about the races. You ony honked ONCE. I honked the SECOND time (where I went from 2nd to 5th) then we pulled off at the exit. I then told you I couldn't hear you honk, so I'd just honk from there on out. There were only 4 runs last night, and one where you honked. I'm not sure what you are considering the first one where you honked. I think I saw you start to take off one time, and I didn't....maybe you are considering that one the first one.

Either way, I'm not upset about losing. But this whole thing has gotten blown WAY out of proportion. You said "I think they are all good runs" Well, OBVIOUSLY we both don't agree on that, which does NOT make it a good run. Agreed. That's what we have been trying to say lol. Equally as fast, maybe even a little faster, but not 3 cars faster as clearly evident in the 2nd run of the vid. If it is 3 times faster from a roll, then that means your car should trap in the low to mid 130's in the quarter and it may or may not.

because you might be slower than them doesnt mean anything. as an enthusiast you should be able to give/take opinions and facts regardless of how butt hurt you are about anything. and thats not my .02. thats a requirement
