View Full Version : I can install my own coilovers but where to get adjusted?
I can install em fine but I want to know where can I go to get them adjusted (IE a place that will make them so each corner matches up in height etc) I am near Downtown/Emory area .thanks!

get a yard stick with milimeters from home depot and measure the distance from ground to fenderwell.
it's adjustable multiple ways. Spring is adjustable and height is adjustable from the base so not to reduce suspension travel so that way would work if they were only adjustable1 way but not 2

it;s not that easy actually lollol, our race cars have over $1,000 in suspension in EACH corner...I would understand if you were wanting to corner balance it but you're just leveling. Since you said you can put them on i'm assuming you have a reliable floor jack, it's a pain in the ass to continuesly raise and lower but counting threads on the coil-over is a good start...just do one corner to get the desired height then count the threads making the rest the same. NOTE: It will not be level, but it's a good start. From there you'll have to measure, either with a yardstick from the ground to the highest point of the wheel opening of the fender OR from the lip of the wheel straight up to the fender. Note: Most cars will have a little less wheel gap in the rear to make it level so you'll still need a way to measure from the fender to the ground.
ok then lol. go shell out cash for an easy jobor do that for $75-90 p/hour. I'll do it at my shop for $50 and a beer for a roommate if he helps :)

you an emory student? jw
if you're just leveling your car, take a tape measure and do it yourself, it'll take some time, but it's better than paying someone else to do it.
if you're tlaking bout corner balance, then... *insert recommended shop*

Gran Turismo East is in your neck of the woods and does a killer job with suspension/alignment. They can adjust everything you want and realign the car properly all in one shot (highly recommended if you're dropping the car much at all).
like tracy said, 770-455-0347 and ask for Kieren.
