Atreyu have debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200, with first week sales of 69,000.

They got offered a shitload of money to play their new style to sell records. So yea, they sold out but I guess I don't blame them for the money they will be making now.

Talk about another band that took a turn for the worse. I dunno how they could go from making incredible songs like Death Blooms, then turn around and make the garbage that's on the radio now. It's sad. Especially since their bassist is so awesome.

I actually to this day still enjoy Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses,

but The Curse, and this new Death-Grip shit = fucking lame.

And to the guy that said Hardcore died once Hatebreed joined ozzfest, I actually disagree. Don't get me wrong, 90% of the shit out there is this "scene" bullshit that consists of never ending breakdowns in off time signatures with ridiculous non sense screaming on top, but with acts like Sinai Beach, Caliban-(though they are kind of metalcore) Embrace the end-(perfect mix of hard/grindcore) Inked in Blood, and Himsa I dont understand why you could say that....?

Also there is some dencent local shit too. I would classify them more as Metalcore but check out Drag the Waters (former stranger by day) those guys hit fucking hard. They own.

There are still a ton of great acts out there, though I do miss the golden days.
