The "rapture" is not a Biblical teaching.
The orgins of such a doctrine can be traced to two priests engaged in a counter measure against the Christian reformation. Some use this word to refer to the Biblical second coming. No such word or reference is given in Scripture.
I didnt bother to read that whole link to see which version theyre refering to however in general the word is usually used in reference to a secret appearing of Christ OR "saints" being secreted out of the world. There is no such teaching in The Bible.

The Rapture is a lie and was never taught until the mid 1800's, it has no biblical foundtion, just like 'easter'

Ezek 13:20

The "rapture" is not coming...there is no such thing.

The Bible teaches that when Christ returns it will be for every eye to see and bear witness. It also tells, as Ran Kizama has alluded to in a way, there will be great strife, death & destruction before then and mankind will be in utter chaos. Christians waiting to be "raptured" out of the world before this takes place wait in vain.

I'll make it short and sweet.

Rapture comes, we go up, second coming, we go back down with him. We are there to see it all, not just sit in the bleachers.

1 Corinthians 15:23-24

23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.
