Umm. . .wtf?

I was trying to open my trunk today and the latch wont release! I can hear it making all the normal sounds of unlatching except that its not releasing, its like its not moving back far enough. Im sure this is all fine and good, probably an easy repair, however one problem. I have my audio set-up in there and you can necessarily get to the back of the trunk too easily, anyone ever here of this before?

Wow dude. That sux. Can you get to the trunk if you fold down your seats? All that massive BASS pwned your trunk latch. Good luck fixing it.

i cant really get to the back of the latch because my sound system is in the way, its going to be interesting to see if VW can fix it with destroying my trunk
