Xilisoft Video Converter - its a $30 program but the trial version you can rip up to 5 mins of videos only. it can change any of your videos into mp4, avi, or just ipod video. it is a very easy program to work with. just browse and find your video, change the profile to mp4 and encode and it works fine.
