need help with skunk 2 stage 2 cams

I GOT A B16A AND IT HAS STAGE 2 SKUNK 2 CAMS JUST INSTALLED THE CAR STARTS UP AND RUNS BUT IT BEGINS 2 OVER HEAT AND IT IDLES AT 3000 rpm DO U THINK ITZ THE TIMMING

my friend put the same thing in his car and about a week he blew his motor. his friend put the skunk2 cam gear in for him. it may be the timming.
