The Eclipse was for sale, parked in front of my house.

Was working in the garage and heard a BOOM.

Looked up and saw this...my neighbor across the street plowed into the Eclipse while in his Escalade.

Both vehicles were towed away.

Needless to say, it's totaled.

Yanked wheels and tires off it, sold'm.

Yanked all the electronics out. Still want the engine goodies...hopefully his insurance company will work with me.

I was laughing too.

Told him I'd been trying to sell the car and it looked like he'd just bought it. :lmfao:

He knocked the car 32 feet according to the distance between the gouge in the asphalt left by the muffler and where the car stopped.

My wife was like "How do you TOTAL a parked car?"

Damn, look at the pictures of his car and your car. His shit has a scratch on the bumper and a broken headlight. Your Eclipse got demolished. I am sorry to hear about that happening, but if you were trying to sell it I guess it works out for the best.

His truck was towed away as well.

There's more damage to that 'Slade that what it looks like.

If your car was parked in the road in a subdivision you will probably be the one found at fault. You can't park in a right of way. Not trying to be an ass but I have a friend that had that happen to them.

that sucks. but i believe the law is whomever is parked on the side of the road is at fault, not the driver that hit him. i may be wrong, but that was my understanding.

His insurance company is paying for it, he hit a parked car in a residential area where the posted speed limit was 20mph.

I spoke with his insurance company tonight. Looks like I'll do alright on the car and not get lowballed like I'd expected.
