Ok I am begining to hate my nitro rc. Last week Nismo on IA helped me get it working....now there is yet another problem...

If I go full throttle the Engine stays in full throttle even when I apply brakes to it. Does anyone know why an RC will stick in full throttle and not ease up...i know its wrong to do but the only way to turn off is to rip the fuel line from the carb (bad for the engine).

I hate rcs now lol...not really but its giving me problems...

/rant

please help.

maybe a bad servo?

Might be...I went to RCTech.com to see what they thought and here is the list from simple to expensive lol.

1) Need to back out the idle screw
2) Bad Servo
3) Bad Carb

well its pretty easy to check the servo...

how you do that...turn on and give throttle and give brake??? if that is how then the servo is working exceptionally well.

i dunno how your car is setup, can u turn the controller and control the servos without having the motor running? if so do it, make sure the throttle servo spins both ways the way its supposed to. if its ok then check if it works under pressure. or u can have then engine running, hold the car in the air and watch if the servo functions correctly.

when u apply the brakes do the brakes actually work or is the command just ignored?

Is it a rotart or a slide carb? Check to make sure the linkage isnt binding up on anything while its full throttle open. Also check your batteries on the car to make sure they arent going bad. Replace them just to be sure.

Just replaced batteries in car yesterday, and charged the batteries in the controller also. It is a single needle slide carb. Everything seems to be working good. Could possibly be a brake problem I dunno. It works both with throttle and brake so I don't think it is the servo...I dunno. I will try the idle screw today make sure the needle doesnt get stuck on that. After I try that I have nothing else to try except for brakes.

If I turn it on it runs fine...nothing wrong when I turn it on. Its the fact that when I apply medium to full throttle it sticks in full. I guess I will see what is wrong today. I don't feel like taking it apart again lol.

its something on the slide sticking at the open section, take apart the carb and look for any sratches, burrs etc etc and go from there
