Talladega is quite a drive from ATL, considering something may break at track.

maybe 2 hour drive... i've gone 7 hours to ocala for drift events so 2 hours to little tally is child's play for anyone.

How many drivers are attending? Estimated track time?says 36 max for registration....but that's what i was asking above, how much track time...

36?! Holy f*ck that's a lot of people. With only having 3 people on the track at a time, the actually track time has got to be horrendously short. Not to mention that he's gotta be making some massive bank. I took 15 people there and it only cost $135 a person.

Company fund raiser?

it's only 1.5 miles...can push cars through pretty fast.Even still, you gotta consider the amount of laps you get in per session. You need a good warm up lap, a few hotlaps, and then a cool down lap. Anything less than 5 laps per session would be a waste of time and even that is cutting it short. Now take that estimate and put three people on the track at a time. That's 12 sessions of around 6-8mins taking for granted that everything goes smoothly without any hiccups. That's also with a bare minimum of 5 laps per session. I dunno, it may be a good chance for some, but it just doesn't seem to be worth it to me with the large number of attendees.

yes up to 12 on the track, it's no big deal when you are out there.

Actually, the track owner only allows 3 on the track at a time for safety reasons. There would be far too much risk with 12 cars out there.

There's other packages that allow more than 3...costs more and there are more things you have to do/are held to but they do offer other packages...

Track full of novice+short track=Accidents waiting to happen. I was going to sign up until I found out the number of cars going out. Anything over 20 is too many. Talledega is too tight to have that many cars, there won't be any room to pass the slow cars. Too bad, I would love to go to this event, but the car count is a turn-off.
