I just recently found out that one of my very very closest friends father has cancer. They were suppose to be doing an operation today but we just found out that the surgery is not going to be able to be done because the cancer has spread so much that her father would die on the operating table if they removed everything that has the cancer. We also found out her father has between 3 and 9 months to live, now becasue of all the stuff that has the cancer on it. I am so upset I dont even know what to do, and I really have no clue what to say to her.

I know how you feel. One of my friends had a similar situation with her mother. There isn't really anything that you can say or do to solve an unsolvable problem. Just be there for support and help if you can. It'll be hard, but a supportive friend is definitely what she'll be needing in the passing time. Best of luck to you, your friend, and those dear to her.

I shall pray for her.. My old college roomies dad died 3 months before her wedding from bladder cancer.. They found it and he died 2 1/2 months later after being told he had a year to live.
