hey... lookin for a dog...

i'm lookin for a dog.... as the title says, but i don't quite no what to go for... it can't be a large dog... i don't want a lap dog, and it can't shed... ANY IDEAS!?!?!?!? and also i'm kinda new to the area, where do i go to find any dog.... thanks!

look on www.petfinder.com (http://www.petfinder.com) (full list of GA shelters and/or rescues) when you know what breed you want.. mixed breeds are great as house pets too.. go to any local shelter.. and as far as the breed it depends on how much time you have to dedicate to the dog and the amount of energy you have.. lol we got a rat terrier about a month ago.. she is 7.1 lbs and FULL of energy.. a beagle might be a good choice for you.. but also check out www.dogbreedinfo.com (http://www.dogbreedinfo.com) or www.puppyfind.com (http://www.puppyfind.com) but dont buy from www.puppyfind.com (http://www.puppyfind.com) cuz i had a bad experience with them but they are great for informational purposes...

^^^ thanks! and i should have plenty of time... my boss said i can bring it to work with me so... and i do like beagles, but they shed... and they probably have one of the loudest barks a dog can have... (especially for the size...)

i'm still lookin i was gonna get an american bulldog, but such a large dog in an apt wouldn't be such a good idea... some one give me some ideas... again lookin for somethin that's small, sheds very little(or not at all), but isn't a pussy.. i hate those kinda dogs... i kinda would like to get a shiba inu but noticed they shed a lot... anyone got any input????
