is there a large so so def billboard around that area?

A.P. Photography
03-19-2006, 09:25 PM
Yeah there is one right by 75 right before the exit to get there going north

yeah i think in order for them to have a billboard at that location they have to have a business there also... so im assuming to maintain their business license for that specific location they have to have proof of it physically being there

so its just a trick to put up a big ad

I have no idea, just thought it was funny. It is over by one of the old Atlanta Police Impound yards, I really really really wish I could get into that impound yard to shoot.

trust me, where we went you would not have wanted to be in your car. In some spots, it sounded like we left half the Rodeo in the holes we hit

Honestly we stayed on one side for awhile and it was rough, crossed over and it was not any better. Got some good local ideas from a friend we haven't seen in a while so we will check those out soon.

Yall are laughing now but you should have seent he looks on our faces when we found this place. When you first see it you just kind of sit there in disbelief of what you are seeing, then you bust out laughing. :lmao:

What the other guy originally posted is true. You can't have a billboard up 24/7 unless there is a real business on that property. A lot places do the same thing as a front.

A.P. Photography
03-21-2006, 12:54 PM
Well that can't hold true because what about all the billboards for car dealers and attractions?

That's different. Those companies are paying a company like Llamar or Viacom, etc..for the ad space. SoSoDef own's that sign and the property. That's why it never changes.

Well technically the sign is not on their property.

If I recall correctly, that's not so. If you see a billboard somewhere on the highway, go snooping around somewhere around that billboard. I guarantee you will find a sign on a door somewhere that says the name of the company that is advertised on the billboard. That So So Def office you found has probably not been opened in months. Probably only to put current paperwork in there to make it look used. That's how these companies do it. Some will rent a room/office from another company just to put a sing on the door to make it look like their office just so they can "legally" put up a billboard. Later, QD.

Yea that's it. My boss told me about this a while ago, and I forgot how it actually works. I didn't think it was for all bilboards but just the dedicated billboards for one company that stays up the whole time? I dunno. He mentioned they were trying to crackdown on it.

They were cracking down.. major bust was Wachovia. Wachovia Got fined big time for not having a location and so did the people trying to help cover them up... I saw that shit on channel 2 news about a year ago.. kinda weird the way that shit works.
