I hear ya but I just think 15s are better for getting peoples attention from 5 blocks away instead of sound quality. That was the reason for the explanation request.

My experience with MTX subs is that they are power hungry. We use to hook them up to a wall socket when I wanted new subs. The MTX subs lasted the longest. It took forever for them to blow. What amp are you using and 1 sub or more?

I am guessing that the system is in an Accord. Do you have any problems blowing out the seal on the rear window? I had two Accords and both of them started to leak because of the system.

Good luck. That is gonna be a lot of power. Caps, extra battery? I know the stock alternator won't be happy without some help.

Why cant you use a 15" for SQ? I know Alma Gates uses 15's in the Beast this year for SQ and its winning every comp it goes to. This myth that a 15 cant be accurate is just that. . . a myth. With the correct enclosure, correct setting on the amp and head unit and proper listening material (no MP3 or other compressed media) a 15 can be just as accurate as a 10.

I am not saying that 15s can't be used for SQ I am just saying that most of the time they aren't
