wait, court or just the pre thing where you meet the solicitor and tell them your plea? Call them and tell them you have an emergency and can't make it, they are required to give you one and only one reschedule which will be at least a month from today... (lawyers do it all the time because the officer is less likely to show up if it's 2/3 months after the ticket was given)

Scrappy
03-15-2006, 11:36 AM
exactly! i got it jan 6th on 400 right at old milton cause they were just putting the barrells up and had them really close and a lady was swirving around each one instead of moving to the other lane... there was a opening so i booked it past her so she would not swirve into me. had 2 others in the car with me and got popped right then and there

They can not fine you for changing the day, they are required to give one reschedule at your request. I just did it a couple weeks ago just hours before the time i was supposed to be there, told them i was at work with too much to do and there was no possible way i was going to be able to leave.

I think you can get up to 2 or 3... If I can get 3 continuances on my ish (you know what I am talking about) I am sure they will give you one no problem for a speeding ticket...

On another note.. that sucks... they might try to say that even though there were no signs if workers are present its still a construction zone... they are just pretty tough on ish like that cause so many construction workers die from people speeding in construction zones... But yeah sorry bout your ticket

She missed her court time already... you have to re-schedule before your court hearing otherwise they will fine you $50.

there were no construction workers present, they had just done it though recently... the court date was today i just called to get the price and remembered it was today. should i call back up there and say I do not have that amount and wont for 2 weeks? cause i sure as hell wont. or just risk it and pay in 2 weeks?
i do not know cause I have never been pulled over and for that amount i am damn lucky its the first time

ok, got it now...

Court was scheduled for today but she thought it was a few weeks away, called to see how much it was going to be then they told her court was today and she had already missed it so they tacked on another $50.

Really really need to pay something on it, even if it's like $20 ASAP...just so they have record of it. As it stands you have a bench warrant, or will by tomorrow, and definitely don't want to get pulled over again before it gets paid otherwise that $316.85 turns into several times that amount. They may give a continuance on the payment over the phone where you don't have to pay anything but not positive. I would at least call them so they can note on the ticket what's going on. Don't need a call like Silver's at 4am that morning ;)

that sucks. I just paid my ticket for 63 in a 45 and it was $125. But my last ticket was for 108 in a 55 and my ticket was like $225. I don't know why its so different for everything.
