View Full Version : Going to try to start a cruise 3hr drive

I want to try to start a cruise from north georgia to prob ashville N.C. they have alot of up hill 2 or 3 lane streaches that go for miles i am giong to work up some maps so we will drive through the blue ridge mountains. Then once we get there have a show in ashville N.C.. they also have some nice parks for people who like the outdoors.:bigok:

If you're willing to go 3 hrs away, what about the tail of the dragon?

Ok i just got back into town i want to do amicolola falls jus cus i know the way and i am not set up for autocross yet. Who can do Sun april the 2nd e-mail me at [email protected] or call me @ 706-974-8100 do a drive and hike or just keep on driving to helen. Meet at the Dawsonville Kroger at the intersection of 53 and 400 at 2:00 wheather permitting

yeah, that drive is a pretty fun one, buddy of mine lives up in nc, some very nice scenery, lol and a bunch of 1 lane bridges lol

amachalola is cool place. great view from the top of the falls. i used to drive past it every day. the roads are pretty fun too, few if any cops.

If you're asking about The Tail of the Dragon it does fall in NC but it is just north of the GA/NC border.

If you do run tail of the dragon be careful. Its not a place to screw around. I personally knew 2 guys that were killed cruising it on their bikes. Long story short. 2 teens, were playing around and racing, came around a curve and were going too fast and couldnt slow down. As far as I know one of them clipped 1 bike and threw it into the other bike.

2:00 huh? I might try to make it out there. haven't been in the mountains yet this year.

I'll have to see what's going on that day...

But you're not going to Asheville then? Your first post mentions it...

we are starting at the kroger in dawsonville that is 400 north at 2;00 [this is not a dirve to ashville] that will be in 2 more weeks this is to amicolola falls a 1 hr drive for more info call me.... nick aka lowrolla at 706-974-8100 i will not be checking this again so please call me if you are going so i know how many people to expect.
