On my way home from work last night I was at a stoplight next to a 97ish mustang GT vert 5spd. He wouldn't look over at me so I didn't know if he was interested in a run or not. I decided I didn't want to look like a douche bag firing off the line at a green light if he didn't want to play. Light turns green, well he fires off the line, I had already started rolling in slowly and when I realized he was going I went WOT. He had about a car and a half between us before I went WOT, I immediately jumped even with him by the top of first. When I hit second I pulled ahead about a fender. I hit third and had to let out and hit the brakes as a car was up ahead in my lane that I didn't want to run right up on. When I braked I was ahead about a fender.

This morning I was almost to work when a red Jetta VR6 turbo ran right up behind me. I moved over to the right lane, he stayed in the left. I slowed up so we could get lined up and go. Well he goes WOT as I get in the left lane and goes flying by me. I dropped to third at about 70mph, he had about 2 cars between us. I pulled up to his back door by the time I hit fourth, we ran all the way through my fourth gear (9500rpm) and I hit fifth. I decided to let off as we were going over a bridge that was wet. I was still at his back door. Fun runs both but I wish I could get someone that actually wanted to line up then go so it could be a more legit run.

Completely opposite direction of Atlanta! :D I drive from Henry County to Milledgeville. Traffic would be three people in front of me and I can always find a place to pass! It is 52 miles from my house to my office, I usually average a little under an hour to get here to work. It's a pain to drive but it beats driving 20 miles and taking an hour. I at least get to cut loose and enjoy my drive.

^^^You are a lot lighter as well. We will have to throw some concrete blocks in the back of your crx! ;) I just work all the time and live and work way the fuck out in the middle of nowhere. If I knew where yall get together I would try to find my way up in that area. I am wanting to get down to Silver Dollar soon. I haven't made a clean pass since I had my damn car built! It's been a year! Even then I was on an 1/8th track in Eatonton. I broke an axle on launch and slung my damn alternator belt off. Haven't been back since. We can do it. Just let me know.

I don't usually post about any street encounters on here for this reason. Douche bags that think their kill during a 0-100 or 70-135+ race is for some reason more exciting or more impressive than any other. It was a chance run in with two people willing to play and it was fun. I think it is pretty nifty when an all motor Honda, (not in a lightweight chassis either) can run/outrun a V8 domestic or a turbo car. My car is not the fastest thing on the road, never have claimed it to be, quite the contrary. It is a fun car that makes good power for what it is, an all motor 1.6 liter 4 cylinder that does a 105 mile commute every day that can always put a smile on my face when I hear the full song of 9500 rpms in vtec. So, it's not exciting to you? Who gives a fuck? Later.
