i loike the overall body.. the grills is going.. nad just gatting the small dents, touch ups.. etc, then turbo, small things.. short shifter, seats, harness.. etc.

I saw the flamefest in another thread or two. I don't think the car looks that bad actually. The front grill has gotta go but that's really the only beef I've got with the early Lancer as far as appearance goes. Maybe a tasteful body kit could lower the appearance of the car a little since the bottom of the car does seem to sit a little high. How is the aftermarket for these? I'd like to see what an ES could do with a little boost. Maybe like a Scion tC with the Supercharger.

Side Notes: I was reading some of the other threads and I just thought I'd throw in my $.02.

1. The Lancer you currently drive is, unfortunately, not the same as the Lancer you see in the WRC and other rally organizations. Rather, the Lancer name was brought in to replace the previous model, the Mirage. The Lancer EVO has dated back to the early 90s and is the 'Rally Lancer' in which you are originally referrring to. The cars share a name, but the drivetrain, power, and tuning aspects are completely different. Not meaning that your car doesn't have tuning potential. Just be sure to realize the potential and limitations of the car itself and you should do just fine.

2. I like my Miata despite people calling it a "Bitch Car" and such. 1.8 Liters of turbocharged fury!!! :doh:

3. There are a lot of flamers and douchebags here on IA, but just take everything with a grain of salt and don't bother retaliating. It makes both parties look stupid and accomplishes nothing. Most of the people here can be pretty cool as long as they don't take things too seriously. If someone doesn't like your ride, then that's their problem. Just be satisfied with what you have and what you can do, that should be enough.

What scrubs and when? Good suspension is the key...i can barely get a finger between my fender and tire yet have never touched once, all 4 wheels. You need to lower it an inch on good quality non-progressive springs and shocks.
