Heh, I didn't answer your PM because you were implying things that I didn't imply. There's nothing wrong with a simple question, is there? I even posted before this saying there's no problem... actually thought it was pretty cool for lots of the Dodge folks to be parking together. All I wanted to know was why the title of the thread stated "Mopar represent at the varsity"... cause I only saw one or two Dodge's w/ any Mopar parts at all. It'd be like parking a bunch of civic's together and then saying "Mugen representing"... ya know?

You all should learn to lighten up in here... I know you all are a tight pack of wolves ready to bite at anyone that comes in this sub-forum who doesn't drive a Dodge, but seriously... chill. Taking everything the wrong way can be bad for social skills.

As far as the question you asked about Mopar being *performance* oriented Dodges, that could easly be taken out of context. To *some* could mean you where questioning their performance- Hence the reply - think he wants some... Its not always what you say or ask - its somtimes how you say it or ask it :2cents: . BTW i know i prolly spelled some shyt wrong but its almost 230am - i dont care right now/..... As for my car Yes it says Mopar and yes it has Mopar aftermarkets = or parts made by origanal manufacturer but not applied during production :D

That's the SRT (used to be R/T :()label now. Based on what I've read, Mopar sort of began as performance thing but is now a generic label given to Dodge/Chrysler/Plymoth/Jeep vehicles.

Here are two explanations I found on various MOPAR sites:
"That one is easy...The word Mopar originated many years ago as an acronym for Motor Parts, the parts producing arm of the Chrysler Corporation. People who raced Chrysler products of any make came to call their racers Mopar products rather than by their individual names."

"In the early times of tinkering at the track it was covert operations of the research branch at chrysler when they were building there first factory drag car. Management Of Power And Research."
