View Full Version : Misc cant save shit!!!

maybe somebody can help a buckaroo out, lately i havent been able to save anything off the internet, like pics and videos and such. i can save from cd or disk, and i can load programs from disc fine. for example when i save a pic to "my pictures" and go look for it the pic is not there, but the link in "my documents" is there but when i click it says missing shortcut. can anybody help me?? i cant contribute to IA if i cant save shit!!

how are you trying to save stuff, like run through how u do it really quick. also it could be that you are saving it to the shared pictures folder. so try going to ur harddrive usually: c:/ > documents and settings > all users > shared documents >shared pictures. check there

all i do to save stuff is: right click, save as. then if its a pic i save it to "my pictures". if its a video i save it to my folder that videos are in. and thats it. a while back i had the problem occasionally , but now its every time i try to save. i was thinking maybe it was something with my internet settings, but i dunno. ill look in the shared folder when i get home, im at work right now.

well my shared folders are all empty, thanks for the help though man. any other suggestions anybody??

have u ried a virus scan yet?

1. right click > save as > Name the file something unique.
2. Search the entire C: drive for that unique named file.

no, i havent tried a virus scan yet, ill try that
i saved a pic and searched the entire c drive and it found nothing

thanks for all the help folk, i might just have to get somebody to come out to the house.
