If this is the wrong area I apologize in advance..

Part of the reason I sold my G was to get my own business started and everything is finally coming together, I have about 6 logo's made and I've narrowed it down to 3 and I wanted to know what you guys think.

I like this one but it may have to be revised slightly because I am going to be selling Alaskan salmon, Halibut, and King Crab so the fish in the image is out of place.

This was the first one I liked and may end up going with..

I like this logo too but it will have to be revised, I dont think the designer realized Marlins are not found in Alaska..

Let me know what you guys think.. all criticism good and bad is appreciated.

Tony- I like the first one. Even with the fish I think it's still appropriate, maybe use a different species- even perhaps salmon or crab(s). But without the fish I think that particular logo still looks the best- the waves in the water makes it "pop" a little more.

2!

I like the font. Reminds me of good ass seafood. And pirates.

tony, i like the first and the last one, the first one i think could be used on things like business cars stationaries and what not and the secondone, when and if you make a website could be your banner or something for the business

Thanks for the replies it seriously means a lot. Its a toss up and really I'll probably use the first two on the website somehow.. I agree with what you've said Dr. G, tropical fish don't exactly translate 'Alaskan' to me.

The 2nd one is cool. I think it'd be cool if you kept the sword fish from the 3rd one, and the text from the 2nd one.

i think the 2nd one would best represent your establishment tony plus its very clean and it sends the right image as soon as i see it

i'm going with the second one for your main logo because it describes what your company is and is very clean, sharp and simple, then if yo do any web promotion or somthing you could use the third. Only downside to the third is it doesn't convey exactally what your business is... They look good tho! good luck with the business and congratz!

Something else to consider as well Tony, considering the name of your business I think you would want the font to portray exemplary seafood that only "your" company can guarantee to deliver- and the first logo most closely depicts that, it just needs some more tweeking. I look at the second logo and it strikes me as being more bland/generic, almost "Gorton's" fisherman-like. :2cents:

i agree, u wanna have something that's eye catching, and the 2nd one just kinda seems generic. and the 3rd one is not very professional looking, so i say the first one seems to be the best choice
