Hey Folks,
I have my 1993 red Hatchback for sale.
I need to sell my daily to pay for my hospital bills for my hand injury...anyways, here are the specs:
[Mechanical]
The valves are sticking and making little tapping noises, I've checked to see if it was the timing chain and to my conclusion, it was not.
Other than the valves sticking, there are no known mechanical issues.
[Exterior]
I washed the car and detailed the car today and to my demise, i found tiny rock chips on the front bumper that could not be noticed unless examined a few inches from the bumper.
Also, I found a few dings on the passenger side door, one was touched-up by the previous owner. However, there are two and another wasn't and is visible, again if examined closely at.
There is one ding on the front fender where the bumper and the fender meets at the corner, its a little dot and is visible also, as well as one ding on the driver's side door as well.
The paint is immaculate everywhere eles on the car but the front bumper where there are what seems to be microscopic rock chips (might be debris from the road when the car wasn't washed for a long time)
The rear wing is still intact and has not developed any rust on the surrounding areas, however, the paint on the wing is a bit wavy, because the wing is starting to wave on the top (due to old age)
The interior is one of the cleanest I've seen for a 13 year old car.
There are no cracks on the dash, however, there are what seems to be spiderweb cracks on the center radio trim.
The carpet laid on the car is also immaculate, everything is intact and still retain original gray color.
The gray suede seats have no "usual" tear on the driver's side bolster nor the passenger side bolster. However, there is a depression on the passenger side seat where, i suppose, someone heavy sat in it for long time and the cushion depressed. There is also a stain on the passenger side seat, however, nothing un-cleanable with some carpet cleaner.
[History]
To my knowledge, I am the second owner of the car and it has indeed only remained in Duluth, Georgia area it's entire life. I've seen the little stubs that the previous owner left in the glove compartment when he sold the car to me and it showed the car being serviced and such in Georgia. To be exact, Boomershine Nissan in Duluth, GA.
[Tires/Wheel]
The tires on three corners (LF, LR, RR) are all Bridgestone Potenzas.
The other is an economical brand where I assume the previous owner busted a tire.
Because of the one new tire on the RF (passenger side, front) the car shakes when accelerating around 40-50 MPH, but subsides once past that area. My best guess is that it needs an alignment/balance, but I've not been able to drive the car, so it was left unbothered.
[Car]
I've only owned the car for around 3 months and I haven't been able to drive the car around for almost 2 months because of my hand injury, although, my father has been driving it around and he took a trip to New York City about a week ago and had no problems going up and coming back down the 2,000 some miles. Of course, an oil change was performed before he went up and after he came down, at a local lube shop.
The odometer on the car is either broken or a wire is loose inside the guage cluster, I've been meaning to fix it, but with my hand injury, I was helpless to fix the odo.
The odo reads 88,139 exactly as of today, however I've checked the Carfax and that was the mileage on last year's inspection.
I bought the car around the time it needed an inspection and the previous owner drove it est. 7,500 miles annually and with my father driving it up and down New York and around the city, my best guestimate of the mileage would be a thousand or so under 100,000 miles.
