Atlanta is not a big Honda town! It is a big everything town! :) That's the reason that Atlanta can support 16546545 tuning shops in a 30 mile radius.
Either way, I'm down for a DSM meet if my Evo is considered a DSM and is invited :D

I think we all know they aren't really DSM's but that just because they weren't made in Normal, Illinois....they are DSM's at heart, tho ;)

What would you consider DSM?.....(sorry kinda noob question)

DSM stands for diamond star motors...mitsubishi's but not all mitsubishis...all of the first generation eclipses and cars like that are dsm's when you get to the second generation only the turbo's are dsm's the nonturbo's were made by chrysler, then you got your galant vr-4's and your 300gt's and the earlier mitsu's...most people consider the new evo VIII dsm beacause it is a dsm at heart

Hells yeah I'm down for it. BTW everytown is a Honda town, Atlanta seems to have a lot of Nissans if you ask me. I miss my midwest DSM friends, but then again it is nice to not see one at every street corner. I know a few other people that would probably be interested (mostly guys off the GSDSM boards)...just let me know when and where!

I'd be down for a dsm meet. I'll be going to Atlanta in about a month or so anyway to put my car back on the dyno, so just let me know when you decide to do it.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse and Eagle Talon are built in Normal, Illinois, in a factory that was originally owned by Diamond-Star Motors, a joint venture between Mitsubishi and Chrysler. (The plant is now wholly owned by Mitsubishi.) From model year 1990 to 1994, the Plymouth Laser was built alongside the Eclipse and Talon. The Diamond-Star Motors abbreviation – DSM – is often used as a generic label for the Talon/Eclipse/Laser car family.
The first-generation (1G) cars – Eclipse, Talon, and Laser – are mechanically identical. The cars have small cosmetic differences, but otherwise, they are exactly the same. In the 1995 model year, the car got substantial revisions, including new sheet metal, engine changes, suspension changes, and more. The Chrysler Laser was discontinued, but the second-generation (2G) Eclipse and Talon are again the same car, sharing every part except exterior cosmetic details like the front and rear bumpers, wheels, and spoilers.

A joint effort by Mitsubishi (three diamonds) and the Chrysler Corporation (penta-star) to build some of the most incredible automobiles in the world. The vehicles were produced with the names Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Plymouth Laser. DSM cars are assembled in Normal, Illinois. The '94-and-up Mitsubishi Galant is also assembled at the DSM plant in IL; previous Galant's were assembled in Japan. The Eclipse and Galant (since '89) share the same platform.
