View Full Version : JDM Integra type r conversion

Hey guys. I was thinking about doing a jdm type r conversion on my teg. I wanted to know how much work it actually takes. I've heard that there was welding of the radiator support that has to be done and i've heard that there isn't. I've also heard that there was a need to cut the frame. Can anyone thats done it or seen it done clarify this for me? Maybe give some heads-up about some problems i might run into. Thanks.

I have it done to my car and I did it myself. well you do have to drill out the spot welds on the radiator core support and pull that out and replace it with the jdm one. the fenders and hood bolt like stock. it is an easy process but take ur time. it took me a month to do mine. wiring is a little bit of a headache but not too bad.

also since my jdm front core support was damaged(thanks password jdm), I could only use the radiator "T" bracket, but everything else bolted up fine, I just have to do some final adjustments still. you can actually use all of your old bolts from your front end to bolt up your new one.

i also did mine myself, the only thing you cutt is a lil off the sheet metal but its obvious when you start working. it took me a weekend and the front was done im waiting for my savings account to have enough money in it so i can paint that bitch!

The grill it came with was broke. He has a new one, it just needs to get painted before he will put it on.

I dunno how much he paid for it, but he got it from PasswordJDM. Do NOT buy it from there. His had been hit like whoa and put back together like shit. He had to use the JDM upper part of the support with his ISDM bottom part.

i had mine done and do not regret it at all. Just have a reputable shop do it
i paid $2200 for mine and the entire got painted but everything came out right

damn mine is black right now and that makes me certain that it will stay black. i bought mine from hmotorsonline.com. 2150 all oem w/hid. everything was in great shape. it was a total of 2400.00 to the door.

oh God don't make me explain this again. Short version, taking pics of matts car, cheerleaders leave resturant, mother ask us if they could post with it, I saw opportunity to have some fun with matt posting the pics.

Or if you want to believe matt has a 13 yr old girlfriend, which ever you prefer. :lmfao:

I would never buy something that big off of Ebay, unless it is from a reputable source like Hmotors or Jarco IMO. I only buy stuff off Ebay when I can't find it anywhere else. I have been fucked more than once by that site.
