First and foremost i want to thank Jeff Smith and Calvin Thomas of Audio Designs of Atlanta (www.audiodesignsofatlanta.com) Anyone in GA needs to check them out. They do BEAUTIFUL work and are really nice guys. So big props goes to them.

Now some info on the setup:

Head Unit: Alpine 9827
Front Stage: MTX TXC6.1 (dont put down MTX untill you hear these...they are the new high end line...IMHO they sound better then my Focal K2Ps did)
Front Stage Amp: Arc Audio 4050-XXK (this is bi-amped to the MTXs)
Rear Fill: Focal 165CV (off HU power)
Subs: (3) Arc Audio ARCv2 10D4
Sub Amp: Arc Audio 1500-XXK
Electrical System: Optima Yellow Top
Wiring: KnuKonceptz and IXOS
Deadening: RAAMmat, and acoustical foam

Now for the pictures :)

First are some general overview pictures:

Here is a straight on shot. The Sub box is painted a gloss black, the surrounding trim is painted to look like an aluminum finish to match my dash. The rest of the trunk (floor, panels, deck lid, etc.) was all recovered in a darker Black trunk liner:

Here is a close up one one of the amps:

Here is the other amp, you can also see the crossovers on the drivers side here where the first aid tray used to be:

Here is a close up of the Audio Designs Logo in the decklid:

Here is a close up of the Arc Audio Logo in the bridge across the subs:

As you can see here i still have SOME trunk space. Not A LOT, but enough for me. Also the spare tire is still fully accessable. I just need to pop out a few panels and its good

Here are the new MTX mids in the doors:

These next few pictures are of the new fiberglassed tweeter pods. The MTXs were slightly larger then stock so instead of trying to cram them behind the stock covers he just glassed them and repainted them a satin black:

Overall i am VERY VERY happy with everything. It sounds great. The MTXs are awesome, they get VERY loud and still stay clean and arent overpowered by the subs. The Arcs also hit ridiculouly clean...anyone looking for an SQL setup should DEFINATELY consider these.

So what does everyone think?

Thanks for the compliments everyone :)

Travis, they are located in Stockbridge, if you click the link to thier site in my first post there is a more specific address. They are RIGHT off the Eagles Landing Parkway Exit on 75. Literally turn off the exit and drive down for about a mile and a half and thier shop is on the left. I just forgot which exit # it was...

nice install! only thing I would've done different would to have either completely hidden the x-overs or at least flush mount them with a false panel so no wiring shows.

Understandable, I would have probably done that too. It was one of the first things i noticed, but oh well :)

it still looks good, you thinking of putting in plexy? and then maybe some neons? that would look hot :D

sina518
03-28-2006, 09:33 PM
has neons but no plexy

oh it does? cool!!!

the only critique I would have is on the logos in the trunk...who ever printed them they didn't do the right DPI (dots per inch) so what happened is your logos came out pixilated. If you could get ahold of the logos and it would be possible to swap out them I would be willing to work on them for you and print them out. you should call them and find out if it is possible to switch them out.

its hard to see in the pic but in person you can REALLY see it...IMO its really hurting the quality of the system and like i said i would gladly help you out to print a high quality image

Thanks Travis, ill talk to them about it and see what they say. It may just be the paper it has to be printed on though, but I will see what he says. Ill let you know :goodjob:

And yes there are 4 tubes of neon, 2 blue ones on the top illuminating the whole trunk and a red one behind each amp. I cant do plexi in front of the subs because it would create a bandpass effect on the box if it was sealed off in the front. I theoretically COULD do someplexi over the crossovers if i wanted to though.

IC...but to tell you dont say anything to them on what they printed it on...cux i know its a quality thing (DPI) and not what stock they printed it on...If you say that to them they will go with you on that to brush it off...truthfully (from a graphic designer) it is from the quality of the image and not the paper. like I said, find out if you can change it and I would be happy to fix it for you....better yet see if they can fix the "cheap" quality of pic (not downing your setup but thats how you should tell them you feel!)

Cool, I have to go over to the shop sometime this week to pick something up anyway so ill ask about it then.
