I had an idea, since there are a bit of us that are into rc drifting, We should get together some place and run the cars together. Maybe the hobbytown usa at gwinnettplace mall or kennesaw or anywhere in between. It seems like it would be something fun todo since we all have pretty much the same common interests, cars and rc cars and drifting! Im only going to be drifting my Micro Rs4, as thats all I currently have. post up here if anyone is interested in anything.

the x-mod has throttle control when u turn. it really pissed me off. i couldnt spin out if i wanted too. i had a kyasho mini-z with $400 worth of parts into it that was a fun mini car. i will post some pics. btw the gwinette would be a better location for me

Clearly, it's been a month since you posted this (actually, closer to TWO), but I was still in KUWAIT, so it doesn't count.
Bump cuz I wanna meet some people that drift r/c.
Also, wantboost, do you have a gas or elec? And what Yok parts do you need? Actually, never mind. I just got rid of most of my ish except for wheels. And I need those. But, I usually get parts from Yok pretty fast if I order them through Yokomousa.com. They're out of Irvine. I've done a good amount of business with them and they're friendly, reliable and reasonably quick, seeing as how they're across the country.

Hey. What set-up are you running for your Nitro? That makes a huge diff in what you can do. Also, how is your motor setup because continuous drifting will put a LOT of wear on that motor becuase it's such a high rev/high torque sport. And Nitro motors aren't really made to handle all of that. Not that they CAN'T...but it just all depends on your setup. that's why people say that electric is easier because it's less hastle.

I bought an RTR for my first RC because I didnt want to take the time to set it up lol. if you go to cenracing.com mine is the CT-4s and its pretty much setup the same as the ones in the picture.

Ok. Well, that's cool. And I did the same thing at first. Just with an elec.
Oh, foam tires covered in some e-tape should get you sideways rather easily. But don't cover the whole tire. Just cover teh middle of it and leave the edge of teh tire bare. Run it a lil bit to grind down the edge of the tape on the tire. Otherwise, as soon as you get sideways, the tape will start peeling. I'm running e-tape right now over my yok drift tires...but it's cuz i'm too lazy to mount the other wheels i got.

hey if anyone needs a car, i've got a traxxis 4-tec (electronic). It's nothing special, my first car. I think top speed is 27mph or so...But i've got everything you would need. i bought it awhile ago and used it maybe 3/4 times? Anyway i'd let it all go CHEAP. Just throwing it out there.... pm me!

Those are some (old/current) RC drift bodies and wheels. the gold ones i made out of some protoform "inch up" wheels & black ABS piping. the chrome ones are the Yokomo drift wheels & tires.

Yea man I did the electric tape lol...I can get the car sideway fairly easy its just that once sideways it does not stay long...I guess too much hp/power to wheels i dunno. I guess if we ever meet up yall can check it out and see if yall cant do better.

Hey Onyx and Nitro. Both of you guys got some really nice cars. My car USED to be nice. Oh, Nitro, e-tape (or any tire for that matter) and concrete don't last long. Just a heads up.
so, we got people interested. When would anyone want to meet. Anybody here (besides me) go to Tanks drift sessions. That'd be a cool starting point. 1:1 cars and 1:10 cars. I mean, we could have our OWN stuff too, but that's just an idea.
edit:
Thanks Jordan:
Jordan was selling his with everything included for only 100 bux. So, I figured it's a pretty good deal considering he's only used it a few times. It came with radio, 2 batteries, charger, chasis, body..only 100bux. Now I just have to grab some new tires for it and make another body for it. I'm thinking about doing an '86 cuz of the wheels already on there. So, whadayathink. Oh, some of the pics were on my camera phone (an afterthought).
