Backpressure

I dunno... some dude keeps pestering me to buy his muffler because running straight pipe to the back with nothing wouldn't give enough backpressure. He said get the one he custom made... i dunno what i should do... should i get this one?
He said it has the slightest amount of restriction w/ slight back pressure
