I wouldn't mind trading for an ef(hatch, crx, or even sedan). I will consider other trades as well. Would really like to have a mini truck. Just something that has the potential to turn into a fun project but it still drivable at the moment. It doesn't bother me if it needs mechanical work as long as it isn't severe. I just need a clean body and hopefully a somewhat clean interior. Or I will sell out right if someone wants it.

Price is obo, so you can make offers. Just making this clear because I am about to leave soon and want be back until sunday.

Thanks for the bumps guys. I have been gone and now I am back so I can answer questions. It actually runs a low 12 second 1/4 mile according to other owners of this bike. As far as how low i will go, just make an offer and we can go from there.

inverted forks?? on a katuna???

DurtySpeed
02-27-2006, 11:41 AM
I don't quite understand either. I know the riding position is a lot more comfortable than a supersport bike. It is still fast though. Maybe not as fast as a cbr, r6, and other 600s. But for the year and price, it is plenty. Actually, I could regear and keep up with one of the above bikes through the first 3 gears. After that of course they pull off, but it isn't that bad.

DurtySpeed
02-27-2006, 01:25 PM
come on guys, I am flexible on the price.

take a pic of the forks...and compair them to ones on a gsxr.
they look as if they are turned upside down...hince inverted forks.

DurtySpeed
02-27-2006, 01:31 PM
Makes sense, but you are right; it is a great beginners bike. Or for someone who would just like one to ride on the weekends.

i had two for them.and both had the inverted forks
they should be "43mm"

DurtySpeed

the forks on the 'tuna are not inverted. they are standard style forks. late model gsxr's and most other SS bikes now have inverted forks.

DurtySpeed

I really don't much about the different models of bikes as this is the only one I have ever had.

damn . and i owned a mini truck ( 83 v6 chevy s-10 ) that was initially gonna be my project. i bought it with the expressed purpose of hauling ass (and bike). i have a buddy that is looking to buy a bike though, i'll check with him soon.

revsdr

damn ..you already got the carbs syncronised...
bump for fast work.lol

revsdr
03-03-2006, 01:16 AM
now that i think about it....it didnt take long to sync mine it was getting the vac. hoses on right that took so long.

DurtySpeed
03-03-2006, 10:24 AM
The sync only took me about 2 hours. That was the hardest part because it was my first time. I used a homemade tool. It worked really good though, I found the instructions on google.

As for getting the hose on, this Kat is really easy to do it on, the little nipples you use are right on top of the carbs. The newer kats, I hear, are harder though. I siynced 1 to 2, then 3 to 4, then the 1/2 to 3/4.

Ahmonrah, I preciate it. So what happened to the truck?

DurtySpeed
03-04-2006, 12:33 AM
Johndial, it will cost me right at 300 to get my license back, but then I have to have the money to start insurance and all that b/s, so therefore I will have to sell it get the money for that stuff and take what is left over to buy me some sort of pos of a car, or hopefully at least the start of a mini truck project.

tymon, I am about to pm you.

Did integrator tail light mod last night and got rid of the ugly rear shovel.

Still here!

DurtySpeed
03-10-2006, 05:45 PM
I am willing to come down on the price, someone make me a decent offer. I have found a car I am looking to buy.

DurtySpeed
03-10-2006, 07:29 PM
Alright guys, heres the deal. I broke the mirror. I was coming out from the back of my garage and the mirror clipped the edge of the doorway. It broke the mirror and cracked the windscreen. Maybe 50 bucks worth of stuff, so oh well, shit happens. I did install the integrator and remove the rear shovel which made the back of the bike look 10 times nicer. So....

I will take 1600 cash if someone comes and gets it this weekend. I am trying to buy a car that they are trading in on monday if I don't buy it. So after the weekend this post will be edited and the price will go back up, which is still obo anyways so I don't guess it matters.

DurtySpeed
03-11-2006, 12:12 AM
I really NEED to move it this weekend. I ride it everyday and it is so fun. I don't want to sell but I have to get a car or truck instead. I just want to at least get a car or truck that I can make a project out of. So no pintos or tauras' and shit. Lol.

2.0civic
03-11-2006, 12:23 AM
LOL. Definately no tortoises or pintos. i dunno tho. maybe a pinto with b18 swap.....that would be cool shit.

Im about to get a crx that will be recieving an ls swap, but it won't be done for a few weeks. maybe you'll still have it?

Kalifornia087
03-11-2006, 04:26 PM
that is unless you would like to make some sort of deal on The CRX with the Ls swap not installed yet for trade... but unless you are really desperate then... Let me know though.

Its not hard to get a permit at all. Just take a written test and you can get it. That's all you need to ride a bike around legally. Only restrictions are that you can't ride at night, on the freeway, and with any passengers. But you shouldn't be doing those things when you're new anyways.
