well, they caught the two jackass's.....

Two 18 year old punks. The detective my mother was working with, went and visited the home of where the vehicle was registered and saw the Jeep parked out front and just did some minor investigating. He noticed that there was 1 brand new tire mounted on the passenger front, and that the brush guard still had my mom's paint on it, but it was evident that they were trying to clean it off and left some that was hard to come off. The detective came back later that day and talked to the mother, and she said her 18yr old son drives it, and the detective talked to the kid and he denied that anything happened and doesnt know what he was talking about. So the detective showed him pictures of my mom's car and the damage that was done, and asked why his Jeep had 1 brand new tire and the exact same paint color of my mom's paint on his brush guard...he stood firm, and his mother asked to speak to the boy in private, and shortly there after he confessed all and who was in the car with him, he was arrestted on the spot and his friend was picked up a little later. His parents bailed him out and his mother called the insurance company and police dept begging for my mother's phone number to call and apologize, and someone gave it to her. She called my mother crying saying that he's a good boy and has never done anything bad in his whole life, and it was his friend that always gets him into trouble, and to please drop the charges.

I'm pissed as hell, because she has no right to call my mom and give her a sob story. That 18yr old kid who has done nothing wrong in his whole life, obviously knew he was doing something wrong by leaving the scene, regardless of his friend influencing him or not. Secondly, this so called good kid who has never done anything wrong in his whole life did a half ass job on trying to cover things up with replacing a damaged tire and cleaning any evidence of a accident up. I'm sorry, but my mom is starting to feel bad for him, but fuck him. It's too late for "I'm sorry's" and "my son is a good boy"....his ass ran and then tried to deny any accident and tried to cover shit up.

Just ask her if that were you that hit someone's car, would she rather help you get off, or stand up and take the heat so as to learn from your mistakes ?

def tell the little bastard he is going to pay for it.....if he gets off now...he will just do it again....my little bro hit a deer in my moms 2001 blazer when it was like 3 weeks old...less than 500 miles then parked it in the driveway backwards and went to bed.....she got up the next morning and found the damage then proceeded to beat his ass with a louisville slugger...then she called the cops and had his ass locked up....he sat in jail for 90 days then got out....and paid for all the damages....i laughed my ass off the entire time...but man it goes to show i was raised old school...he needs to get the same treatment...my .02

This is pathetic.. fuck the "hes a good kid" routine.. the kid shouldnt have ran.. Shit my mom woulda beat my ass and told me I was on my own.. the kid is 18... if he were any younger it wouldnt be ONLY the kids problem.. it would be the mothers too.. The kid needs to learn a lession.

talk to your mom and go ahead and drop the charges, but make sure you get paid before you do that.

Then I say its all good, but its up to you.

If they ran cause they were scared, and in a panic I would say give them a 2nd chance. But if I remember right they were talking shit to your mom before they drove off. I say stick it to them. Besides, its very rare that hit-n-runs ever get caught. Usually the police won't even bother, and let your insurance eat it. Would be a shame if they get off after all this. They'll just get a fine, and 6 months probation anyway. Might as well let them sweat it till court.

I think even if his mom were to drop the charges, the State can pick them right back up!

And I say let the fuckers spend time in jail, let him lose his his license...MAKE THEM PAY! He is 18 he knew what he was doing! Sorry....yelling profanities at his mother, and then leaving is bullshit! Let them fucking pay!

They were laughing at my mom and waving as they drove off. So the good boy routine goes right out the window in my opinnion, didnt seem like they panic'ed and were too scared to me.

I am all for the legal system being put to use, I dont give a rats ass if he's a straight A student and is in all the honor clubs, that doesnt justify shit for me.

Atif, I highly doubt this kid or his mom have any money to be paying anyone off, if that was the case, it would have been the first thing the mother would have offered up to my mom, instead of her begging to drop the charges and just call it a day. Besides, I rather just let the insurance company do all the work....get the car fixed and make his rates go up.

If the kid confessed it up and like turned himself in, then yeah, I agree all for a 2nd chance, but because he tried to cover things up and then tried to deny shit, fuck him and his mother and their couch. I want it to hurt so bad, that he wont want to get behind the steering wheel again.
