Steven (kao) is good too. half the time I do swaps with him. He migh not care to clean it up, but it will be mechanically flaless. 600 bucks is cheap. The cheapest I have done one was $80 (CA), and the one after that was $200 (SR), but that was when I was picking pennys off the ground. But now I cant get off my ass unless it's decent money. Thinking about it, I'll give steven a call, go in on it an make 300.

Ok, I did not realize it was a na Sr. I thought you were talking about the turbo. Any ways, Steven and I will do the swap for $1300 including a nice clean sr20, and install. This does not include sparkplugs, coolant, tranny fluid, , motoroil and filter. So roughly 1380ish complete install and motor. Turn the key and drive it home.

yes Kao wants 600 for the na SR install. I finally got him on the phone today. If you are doing it too cool shit. He wants me to get a s14 sr rather than an s13 sr. I guess Ill go with that.

When do you want to get started? We can make things happen Wednesday and have you on the road Thursday, if you already have the money.

Why would you do an na sr20... Just get an Ka than. Its the same power for less money...But Thesnail and steven are def badd ass mechanics. Theve done 2 of my swaps and I recommend them over anyone...

Id like to get the turbo manifold later on. I dont have the money for the SRDET but I realy dont want a stock motor. I have thought about just going KA but is that realy enough power to have fun with?

put it in yourself and then take it to tophat, they can do the wiring for $100

Is the SR20DEH a FWD engine? Does it come with a transmission? I would have imagined the shipping on an imported engine would be more than what you can buy a KA with a tranny for. :dunno:

*edit* i did say any SR though...but a mild build up with cams and pistons in an KA would be quite an increase in power...and still be NA with a cleaner torque curve. I've seen a few nearly stock s14 SR's that were putting out some mean numbers though.

See thats what I was thinking. I was told that people have seen NA Ka motor whip a SR with cams, pistons and some other shit. Either way my car needs a new motor regardless. If I went KA I would like it to have some non stock parts in it and be able to atleast impress myself. Stock ka... doesnt sound so good. I heard the SRDEH option and I figured thats close enough to the sr and I can always swap manifolds later on and have the SRDET. Also I was informed that the DEH has higher compression and with a turbo later.... Saves my ass.
Im personaly open to any and all options. The price for the srdeh installed was 1380. Thats my price range. If anyone has a better idea thats cheaper or cost the same for easier, or more power. By all means yell at me and tell me to do that. lol.
Thanks for the help all of you...
Continue with the wisdom....
