this is the most retarded poll i've seen... do you mod your car for others? If JDM/sleeper won the poll is that what you would do? Sounds like you watched one too many F&F movies and just wanna mod your car just so you can have a modded car because I suppose it's the "in" thing right now.

What happened to people driving their cars and learning it, if it doesn't stop fast enough mod the brakes, if it doesn't turn well get new tires, if it doesn't accelerate fast enough tweak the engine...you buy whatever part that gives you the max value for the money spent, not because of some label given to it. Nowadays everyone just buys whatever parts because so and so magazine featured it... the real essence of grass roots racing and car modding has been lost in the cesspool of fake wannabes and I weep for the current car culture.

Jdm is a much better choice long term, though I dont think jdm is much cheaper either. Show cars are good for the moment. Show cars are mostly late model cars and the owners dont hold on to them for long. Jdm cars can be driven daily and I feel like they can provide more enjoyment overall.

JDM/Simple. You dont necessarily have to be JDM out or anthing like that but i like the clean and simple look.. Some nice 16in wheels, drop the car down to right above the tire to have as minimal gap as possible, no need to tuck tire, nice paint job and you are set...

Show may be a waste to YOU, but it is not a waste to the people that are into show. You are looking at things from YOUR point of view, which is what most people do. I'm all about letting people do what they want, as long as it doesn't negatively affect my projects. In Japan they are all rockin' DC Sports, Skunk2 and Edlebrock sh*t on their imports. A Trust turbo over there is the anomally, not the norm. When I was stationed in OKinawa that blew my mind. Do what YOU like, and do what makes YOU happy with your ride.

No1 is trying to "pretend" that they have a Type R. Those kids are basically proud of the dedication and TIME it takes to get even 1 JDM part... MONTHS sometimes to get even a set of taillights. oh and just so ya know, my car has Real CTR headlights, wing, dipstick, valve cover, and badges. And if i hadnt bought the car with them on their i probably would not have bought them, or at least not bought the genuine part

This is so vague.... what do you mean by JDM, are we talking the "LOOK" or "Style" or are we talking parts? JDM is over used ( . ) I agree that a lot of people call jdm sticking black wheels on a white car or whatnot...... but what makes that jdm? Japanese Domestic Market is what jdm is..... and that it. If you want to TUNE your car like the Japanese, there a lot of cars you'd Call "RICE" in Japan. Most people here want to shave off there ITR wing cuz thats jdm ??? Any Tuner mags i have from japan.... The Rock the heck out of some FUNCTIONAL wings. Tru Tuners in Japan only put parts on there cars that IMPROVE there performance... And there are a Lot of Really Clean looking Civics and Accords in japan as well, And they look Alot like some clean Honda's in the US that have a few tastefull JDM parts on them.

Now Kids that mod there car for STYLE in Japan.... thats a whole different story. They rock lambo doors, crazy systems, HUGE wings, candy paint, etc etc in Japan. This is called "Spo Com" style alah Fast and Furious. There is also a BIG USDM modding trend in Japan.... Those guys try to find Everything that comes on our cars, like ash trays and stickers, headlights, shave off fender turn signals, etc etc...

Now "show" what does that mean exactly? Are you talking the lambo doors and systems, crzy paint jobs etc? If you go to an import "show" in Cali you'd see that Most cars these days have a JDM theme, with rare parts and clean subtle style cars..... SO JDM IS SHOW!!!!

Personally I LIKE clean functinal quality parts. If It does not improve what was OEM, then I really don't want to spend my money on it. However, Most of the parts or "MODS" I put on my car where manufactured in Japan. However these parts are some of the best available for my car. My Car is a Japanese manufactured car. Tru japanese tuning companies make GREAT products. I do have Parts that are high quality that improve my car for performance that are not JDM though...

Bottom Line... HAVE FUN WITH YOUR CAR AND DO WHAT YOU LIKE...

My opinion...It really depends on what you get. Some cars actually looks really nice with aftermarket kits and some vehicles are just not made for kits to be put on...if you know what I mean. I have a 95 Accord w/ full Wings West kit (just add on lips not entire front or rear bumper) It looks nice and simple. I also own a 93 Hatch. These hatchback (again in my opionion) should be left stock in appearance. In actuality, what matters the most is what you decide on. At the end of the day it's what make you happy.

I just like a clean looking car. JDM, Show, or stock. Body kits look like ass unless the car is going to compete in a show. I don't see the function of a full kit on a DD car. Me? Sure, I'm going to throw on a lip, maybe a spoiler, CF hood, and build the crap out of the motor and suspension.

What happened to people driving their cars and learning it, if it doesn't stop fast enough mod the brakes, if it doesn't turn well get new tires, if it doesn't accelerate fast enough tweak the engine...you buy whatever part that gives you the max value for the money spent, not because of some label given to it. Nowadays everyone just buys whatever parts because so and so magazine featured it... the real essence of grass roots racing and car modding has been lost in the cesspool of fake wannabes and I weep for the current car culture.

i am one hundred percent with the idea of doig your own thing build your car the way you want to know matter what anyone says.

Im not going to vote for 2 reasons. JDM bullshiit is so played out now and allshow is usless. I've learned the hardway about custom body parts. When you drop $1500 into a rear bumper just to find your car rearended in a fuking parking lot, you tend to stop pouring money into exterior mods.

Wether it be jdm, usdm, or adm (antartic domestic market: tricked out with dogsleds and shiit), just do what you think looks good.

MOST DEFINITELY go with JDM/Sleeper. JDM cars are just appealing to the eye and easy to view...much better than your typical riced out show car. JDM is about keeping it functional, looking great, and getting the most out of your engine. Keep it JDM! :goodjob:

Truth. Most real built JDM cars are obnoxious as ****. Boso is JDM, and that **** doesn't equal sleeper at all.
