So i noticed that the cv boot on the axle has ripped in half. Any body know of a write up for replacing the boot or axle?

Michell on demand is free online. Also napa.com has instructions for everything.

if you don't have the money right now or just don't feel like spending the money, the cut the boot off, take all the grease out of there, and push the axle back in, that will hold up for a while.

It drives fine and all...the boot is just ripped in half.

all you need is a 17mm wrench and socket, and a 30mm socket for the axle nut
it's not that hard to replace

If it's not clicking then you don't need to replace the axle, just take the axle nut off (gonna need a replacement if you rape it trying to take take out the lil safety punch) Pull the axle out (yeah, it's a 2 piece axle so pull on the inner one closest to the transmission) Cut the bands and pull the boot off, clean the CV extremely well if it's dirty inside....replace the boot, pack it, reband it (you're gonna need a banding tool to put the new CV boot bands on) stick the axle back in, put the hub/rotor assembly back on, and torque the axle nut to spec. done.
