If he said it's never been done than that's kinda BS because the GM supercharger is available to the public to purchase and is a direct bolt on to all the newer GM 4cyl engines(ports are little different on each,but they make a s/c for each). all the ss s/c engine is, is a ecotech with an increase liter size(2.2 to 2.4 wow!) with the GM supercharger.

from what i've been told by several j owners(a couple in ga as well) w/ the GM s/c, it's not all that good, especialy for the price.

the main advantage to doing a FULL colbalt ss s/c engine swap is that the cavalier's curb weight is alot less.

again, i have not seen pics of and i have not seen it in person. i have talk to him about it in person (he's got the money and the ability to do it) and know it can be done easily. personaly i'd love to be able to get ahold of a totaled colbalt ss s/c and do the swap as well, but i don't have that luck. and if I did it, i would not have said shit about it on here. but that's just me

all i know is that the ecotec block is a really good start even if it is a cav fire or what ever... 140 hp stock and i know with an intake i can romp v6 mustangs.. which have 190 hp.... so the power to weight ratio is really nice... and get internals and a turbo you can get pretty fast..... just thought you should know....

i know he hasn't met colbalier(chris)in person and probably hasn't talk to him on the internet. i have, he seems alright to me. im pretty good at telling if someone is full of shit or not and chris doesn't seem like the kind of person yall make him out to be. but then again i've only talk to him in person like 3 times(once at a j-body meet and the others a NOPI)

the reason i get diffensive towards my car is just that, it's MY car. i put alot of work into it and even though it's not some peoples taste, i like it. i take pride in my work weither it be my job or my car. The cobalt, while its cool they offer them with boost, is NOT anything to be bragging about. they make what an RSX makes ALL MOTOR. so where is the "technoligical genious" behind it? i dont see it.

Coilovers- Basic Damper part #DSG90-LUSS2 says only for '00-04 but they also fit the '05 no difference in the entire chassis from '00-'05, '05 being the last production year for the Cavalier taken over by the Cobalt
who dynoed- K&D performance in Acworth mainly do old hot rods. Kermit Harper and David Parris (my uncle) are the owners.
Install- at K&D customs by my self, Kermit Harper, David Parris, Graig "McFly" Bucell (has a silver Nissan Altima won 3rd at Nopi, ALWAYS on Barrett, works in car audio at Circuit City)
Tuning- Not yet, had it on the dyno just to see what i put down.
Where i got it- A guy had one in West Virginia for 3 weeks and 2 days and wrapped it around a tree, i picked it up from a junk yard for $3785.48
Install- cobalt+cavalier chassis, which the cobalt is based off of= easy as shit install
Pics and dyno printout- wheni get back in town ill get them from K&D and show them to you personally
Oh and please show me where i can buy a Jackson Racing Supercharger for a 2.2 ECOTEC because as far as i know they dont make one, for any cavalier motor for that matter, the 2.0 ECOTEC/ 2.2 ECOTEC/ or the 2.4
