Yesterday was my second trip up to Battleground, with a trip to Mainstream in the middle of the 2. I had a friend build a custom turbo setup that culminated yesterday in it's daily driving on stock internals glory:

239.5 hp / 251.5 ftlbs @18 psi

Now I said it was bittsweet... the SES light has popped on again. P0172 System too rich. It seems that because the tuned AFR which is now well tuned and right fpr the current setup, is not the range of the OBD2 set AFR (like 14.7 or something like that).

Anyways, I've asked before and I ask again, I need help finding some way to pass somehow. My Florida registration is up in July and the only thing I can think to do is register the car using an address out of the metro area which is not really what I want to do. Anyways, if anyone could reply or PM me with ideas, I'd appreciate it.

if it's obd2 then reset the ecu and don't boost on it until after you get checked.

i'm assuming you're running a piggyback and larger injectors. if you're running larger injectors you may need to temporarily swap back to stock so it doesn't dump fuel.

what kind of car is it and your setup?

It's obd2, and I run emanage. I run 440cc injectors and a walboro fuel pump. I suppose I could swap the old injectors back, pull the wastegate spring, and unplug the emanage... just a terrible amount of work to do once a year.

and thank you Tracy, couldn't be happier with the tune. Just wish my ECU would admire it as much as I do.

i go through similar swap each year too:

swap stock inj and bypass resistorbox, throttlebody and iacv, ecu, open wastegate to pass. takes about an hour of work before then hour after passing, but it's only once a year and is so worth it the rest of the year.
