I'll take the polished w/ moon cuts for $100. You drive the white boosted Teg w/ JDM front right? If so then I saw you at MSP Dyno Day.

What tool did you use to polish them? As someone who does polishing, i see flaws, but am not going to point them out and flame or anything. Just wondering what you used.

So who do you work for? Technologie polishing? Yes there are a few flaws but it is a poor casting! If you want a flawless one it costs alot more!

Ok no one steals this valve cover from me :). I've seen it in person & it looks amazing, that is why it'll be under my hood in no time. This is the polished I'm talking about xPhantonSolx, sorry but the pic you showed of the valve cover you did before just wasn't up to par.

which one wasn't up to par? The D16 one I put up a pic of was a 5 minute "get the grub off" scrubbing, the B16 one I had a close up of I didn't want a mirror finish on, and the B16 one that had a near mirror finish on it was an outdoor daytime pic. If I had taken a pic of it inside, it would have looked like the one in the pics above.

2.0 - I don't work for anyone. I got bored a few years ago and decided to figure out how to make things prettier under the hood.

Cool you took some intrest in how to polish. I polish bottle molds for a living like pepsi, coke, gatorade, water etc. I use special tools that are specifically made for my trade. They are special order from Japan and Germany I will post some pics for you to see if you would like.

I know you're not trying to start something. Congratulations on polishing molds for a living. I didn't insinuate you didn't know what you were doing. I simply asked what tools you used, because there are some flaws present. I also don't claim to be able to achieve a perfect polish myself. I asked mainly out of curiosity, because for me to get a mirror finish like that takes forever and five days, and I'm curious to know if there's a quicker way to achieve it without sacrificing quality.

I wasn't trying to be jerk. I offered to show some pics of the tools! They are all air powered thats what makes go faster. If your doing it all by hand props to you. I would be happy to help you figure out a faster way.

I do it mostly by hand. Lots of hours of work. I usually use a power sander (lateral, not orbital) on the 600 and 800 grit paper, but then with the 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit papers, I do hand. I use a grinder to get lettering off, like the H logo, the "honda motor company", and the DOHC VTEC, if whoever's cover I'm doing wants that. I haven't ever cut a cover, even though I have the bits that are strong enough to do it. I'm kinda scurred to try. Might pick up a spare and see about doin it.
