If you're looking for a good electronic club with a trendy crowd, eleven50 is the best. It's probably my favorite club in Atlanta. Make sure you keep up with www.liquified.com (http://www.liquified.com), in fact you should probably subscribe to their mailing list. They basically run eleven50's Saturday night events, and they bring the best DJs in the world. George Acosta was last Saturday, and every time Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, or Tiesto come to town, it's through Liquified and takes place at eleven50. They also host a lot of popular house and drum n' bass DJs. There's something practically every Saturday night. If you just wanna hang out with friends and have a good, relaxed time in normal clothes, Loca Luna on Friday nights is a ton of fun. Live salsa band, and the drinks are priced well and are a good size, unlike most clubs. Also, no cover at Loca Luna if you're 21+. http://www.loca-luna.com/

If you're into 80s new wave music, The Masquerade has 80s night every Thursday night. The music is great, but the crowds can be pretty small, so go with friends. Cover is like $5 or less. http://www.masq.com

All of those clubs are in midtown Atlanta. I don't know of anything near Alpharetta. There's Insomnia, but I've never been. They advertise no cover on Saturday nights, and on that night it's supposedly electronic music, so you may wanna check it out. http://www.clubinsomniaatl.com/
