on a stock y7 you're not really going to be able to boost high unless you're looking to blow it up, the maximum is around 6-8psi I believe.

You can run around 10-12 psi as long as you get a good tune depending on the turbo.
You should be able to get around 200 whp or so as long as its tuned right.

this is correct. psi isn't what will hurt it. 10psi from a small/med turbo isn't 10psi from a large turbo. 200whp is a good place w/ a good tune. i've been boosted on my y7 for almost 3 years and a majority of it's life it's been over 200whp. i put around 15k+ miles a year on my car and it's about to break 108k miles on it.

do it right, tune it right, maintain it right, and listen to it and you'll be ok.

6psi isnt anything to laugh at,when i first turboed my zc in my old crx i started with 5psi,that was a huge improvement.dont over do it just to say you run high boost.

most of the books i've read say 7psi on a good stock motor is plenty safe. a good tune is everything on a turbo car.
