AKA Rally 2006 - As seen on MTV

Need an excuse to see the country this summer? The AKA Rally www.AKARally.com is a cross country rally which began in 2004. (As seen on MTV's True Life - I'm Rally to L.A.)

This year they plan to take 100 cars from Las Vegas to Washington, D.C. June 27 - July 3. This year's rally will hit Albuquerque, Denver, St. Louis, Indianapolis (for the Indy 500) and you will end up in D.C. in time to celebrate the fourth of July.

The events cost $3,000 for two people which includes hotels, breakfast, dinner and parties and special events. The only requirements for the car is that it is street legal and insured.

To answer all of the questions, this is the same type of race as the Cannonball Run and the Gumball 3000 at a more affordable rate. I have gone for the past two years and had an absolute blast!

That is only $1500 per person or $215 per day which also works out to be $8.95 per hour. What better way can you spend your money this summer?

I have no financial stake in this rally yadda...yadda...yadda and remember you do not have to have a super fancy car to participate.

The Police love us! I got pulled over at at 62mph only after my V1 and shifter went off after doing 140+. They said they got 5 separate phone calls from people on cell phones saying that cars were racing on the freeway. Two other police counties tried to catch us but we were gone before they got there. They ended up letting me go because they only clocked us at 62mph.

This is why they came out with the AKA Rally, it was the more affordable version at only 3k and not 12k or event 30k for the Ultimate Rally this summer.

Many people do get sponsor who pay most of the trip. Now a bad idea. All you can do is ask.

you should make a thread in whoreslounge, and see of some of the sites sponsors will help you out.. it might come at the cost of some decals for the prelude.. but its worth it..

Yes, this is the one where the two girls won (well came in to LA first). They have now broken into two separate teams Kelly with the Tattoo now driving here PINK M3 convertible with those Honda Civic style doors and Alicia the crab girl now driving a 350Z with too many mods to list.

That would be great if you go. We have not had any Supras ever....there is one in Orlando with 1000hp thinking about going but nothing yet. I have never heard anyone say "man, I wish didn't spend that money!"

Infact we will probably ship our cars out to Vegas. If we can find shipping for about $500, we will have about 5 cars shipped from here. Gas is going to equal that price anyway so why not ship them. Yes I am taking my NSX and my buddy out of Fl is taking his too and maybe one more. In additional a C6 and a G35 are coming in my crew for sure.

Honestly the average speed is about 90-100mph. There will be periods where people are going 150+ when they can safely (or not so safely) but most people think you need a crazy fast car all of the time. It is seriously about having fun!

I am sorry, it sounds like a killer deal but I think you misunderstood me. We were talking about an Auto Transport Company to take our cars (about 10 cars) out to Las Vegas and it would be nice if we could get that sponsored....although I do like your way better. :goodjob: (sounds like you have DP's problem.) :D
