i meet some kid today at my school, he saw me get out of the car and began to approach me, he was giving me compliments on my car and we began chatting or whatever blah blah.....fast foward

He asked me if i posted on any boards, i told him mr2board.com and importatlanta are the ones i browse alot...

When i said importatlanta he had nothing but bad shit to say......and he had his reasons, he began to tell me Importatlanta is a bunch of shit talkers and really isnt a car enthusiast website..he made a post one day asking a simple question and got blasted on...and began to tell me that he's never been through that type of shit before on any internet message board, for just asking a simple question. then he told me he would never think about posting here again.....He also added that the mods dont moderate anything and talk more shit then some of the members.....(i busted out laughing then) this isnt the first time ive heard this from people.....

Now ive been a member for longer than alot of you (forumco days) and i agreed with some of what he said....the shit talking seems like it has reached an all time high, and sometimes drives real car enthusiast away from here. I dont mind all the shit talking and hate that sometimes goes through the board.......but thats because i know what to expect when i get on IA....if i were a noob i could understand exactly where he is coming from.

But anyway....it made me think.....i wonder what IA would be like if it was a happy place???? :confused: :confused:

Man on a serious note, I think IA is cool because you are free to speak your mind, no matter what. thats what goes on in a Off Topic/Whores Lounge type of place, people disagree, people get flamed and so on. Now if he got flamed for putting a help topic in the WL, then I can't say we were wrong for doing that (I dont know that I was involved) If he posted asking innocent questions in the correct forum and that happened, well we do have some real assholes on here, and I can't explain for their comments (+1 to whoever steps up and admits it)
