There's a little rumor going around that all these 18 to party 21 to fall down clubs are closing their doors to the younger crowds by the 2nd of Feburary.
I'm hearing this from semi reputable people, but need to see if there's anyone else hearing this also. Thanks for the help.

well this is true with some promotion companies.. and the reason why is because the younger kids dont know how to act! they fight n shit.. what you will start seeing more and more of is 18+for woman and 21+for guys! thats the direction alot of people are talking about going.. honestly.. thats the truth

If they do this, somebody could have a very strong legal case against them. If you sued, you would win. They're not supposed to descriminate based on gender.

i KNOW THIS FOR FACT ... A BAR OR CLUB HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE AND DENY ENTRY TO ANYONE AT ANYTIME FOR ANY REASON!!! ASK AROUND,
KIND OF THE SAME CONCEPT OF LADIES IN FREE BEFORE MIDNIGHT AND SHIT LIKE THAT???? THAT WOULD ALSO BE DESCRIMINATING BY YOUR STANDARDS.. YES OR NO????
IF YOU PAY ATTENTION TO ATLANTA NIGHT LIFE THERE ARE A FEW CLUBS THAT HAVE BEEN PRACTICING THIS FOR SOMETIME ALREADY

Yes, and I could sue them and win. All I have to do is prove that they participate in interstate commerce, which they do by having tourists present, as well as some of their supplies coming from other states.
I'm not going to sue them. I'm 21 and I don't give a shit. I'm just saying somebody COULD sue them and win. Putting up a sign that says "Beware of Dog" doesn't mean you can't be sued if somebody gets bitten by your dog.
Private businesses are allowed to limit admission, but NOT based on race, gender, or national origin. What if a club said "White people free before 11, everyone else cover is $10". Guess what? That's exactly the same thing, because race and gender are covered under the SAME Civil Rights legislation.
All I'm saying is they can do it, but they're not protected from lawsuits. They would probably lose if they were sued for it.

you areguing for nothing.. the fact of the matter is you can sue anyone for anything! i can sue you for the mental anguish of your last post! so fucking what!
Clubs do this all over the damn country bro, this is not a new concept by any means... I have never once heard of a lawsuit where the club lost. I havae however heard of a few instances about 10yrs ago when someone tried to sue a club for the same practice and they did infact lose it!
so its whatever.. I mean shit if you had robert shapiro than ya maybe you could beat em.. but lets stay in the real world and focus on reality

it's a private Club under the definition of a "Club" the said establishment has the right to chose it's members on any basis. When entering a "Club" you are paying to be(or free) a member for that night.
It would be like, someone sueing I.A for not letting someone be a member b/c they drove a Semi-truck. :2cents:

its not true. there are plenty still open. my friends and i frequent prime time on covington (i'm 21 so it dont matter) and they are still going strong. I like prime time because there is no dress code and its kinda hood. When i really wanna just party I am more comfortable in an urban setting. But i am still fairly young so the classy stuff is for only when i wanna go chill.

It's one thing to touch an arm or grab a shirt sleeve or something to get a girls attention to talk but to try to feel them up is a whole fucking differant story.
(note: wasn't my idea to go there, i had friends downtown at a 21 up but one was 20...i knew what to expect and they didn't think it would be that bad, lol)
I wasn't in there 30 seconds, 10 feet from the coat check, and just about popped someone in the nose for telling me to move out of "his" way as i stepped over to let his three friends walk by, he was the 4th person in line and just couldn't walk behind them...without moving bluntly asked, "what the fuck did you say?" and then security pulled him around me and out the door before he could say anything back.
