I am having a problem with the lock nuts on the valve they keep comeing loose

does anyone know if these is a common problem

and what is a recomended fix

ur valves are tapping if so try adjusting them

Yes the valve is tapping because the lock nut is coming loose this is the 2nd time it has happen

MY BAD U SHOULD HAVE PM ME BUT YEA IF U ADJUSTED THEM ALREADY N IT KEEPS DOING IT THE VALUES ARE FUCKED UP

yea the valves are not fucked up they are fine

Take the nuts off, clean the stud and the nut with some carb cleaner and put a small amount of blue locktight on the stud. I've had a few motors that don't want to stay tight at sustained high rpms and this always fixed it. Just don't use red or you'll never get them off. It also doesn't take alot, one good drop is really all you need.

exactly what i would reccommend. I hope the follower is not stripped causing the stud piece that rides on the vavle to move which would cause the nut to back of also. When u do the locktight thing ull find out bc the stud and the nut will try to come out. Good luck man

...why don't you try putting the correct amount of torque on the nuts.... (14 ft. lbs)

You know I never thought of actually torque them with the actual torque spec
