So me and cindy went to the gun show that was posted on here a few days ago..

Got this.. Nothing fancy a Jennings Nine.. Not a bad gun, But not great either.

Got it and went straight to the range, went through about 200 bullets.. shot like a champ.. Shoots better then my Hi point 9mm. Is nice and Compact to carry around.

Good Gun show, alot of nice stuff.

I had the highpoint qd has. I had to collor the two orange things that pop out when chambered, with a sharpe, while doing something bad, so the other person did not think its a toy. I still have one but it is a 9mm rifle ( the one as used in colombine) execpt mine is chrome. I am not very fond of highpoints, since they jam more then they shoot, but I am keeping the rifle as sentimental value, since it is the first gun I "bought".

Looks good julio. How big is it? I got a ruger p89, and it isn't the most compact/portable gun.. never even fired it lol, aside from the test fire at the factory.

Mine isn't a HP. It is Bryco Arms, made by Jennings. Exactly like Julio's except color. I haven't had a problem with mine jamming on me. I also hate that damn orange thing on the back. Lolol. Later, QD.

^ I had that one aswell, lol. Mine had a slip on rubber grip on it, but was the same one. I have a story about it that I can share. That is a good gun.

Well I'll tell the Ruger story anyway.

I was about 15-16, and a group of us go out to the country to camp. We all had a bon fire going and were drinking like mad men. The cops came a couple of hours later, and I had my ruger on me, so I got up and took off running since I was on probation for a previous gun charge. I ran off into the woods, and found a small tree that was tilted at a 60deg angle. I covered the ruger with some leaves at the base of the tree, and went back to the camp site. The cops ended up leaving 30min later, so I went back into the woods to get it. I searched ffor over an hour, but could not find the tree. I waited till morning and searched for it for anouther 30min, and still could not find it. It started to rain so we left. The next day hurican Fran came through so it was non-stop rain for a week. After the week was over, I went with two of my friends and offered the 40$ if they could find it. I gave them the description of the tree and we went searching. I figured it would be a solid chunk of rust, or a good bit of rust from the rain, but still wanted to find it. After 10min my friend calls me, and I go up to it, and it looks just as clean as I had it if not cleaner from the rain, lol. I took it apart on the way home, and there was not a spec of rust anywhere on it. That is when my respect for rugers jumped from 7/10 to 10/10.

Yeah, but I had a Glock before. I'm kinda used to them, but I really just want something that I am confortable with, probably a 9mm.

Don't go into a gun fight without a long gun or something that starts with a 4. 9mm, .380 etc don't have the knock down power. I will probably pick up a .40 cal or a ,45 tomorrow. If I have to use it I don't want my 9mm to be what I am firing. I can't carry a long gun to the mall, so those are out.

Julio, only shoot full metal jackets with both the Hi-point and the Jennings. Both are known to jam with hollow points. If you want something to carry that is small but has the power go up to bullseye and check out a Millenium .45. Very compact, lots of power and only $329.00. May be less at the gun show, I will take a look tomorrow.

Everyone of this board should go out and buy long gun, one day you will need it. hehe

DO NOT BEY A 9MM if i were you i would buy a berreta 96 (.40) i own one and i love it the shell is accurate and has alot more power that the 9, personaly i think the .40 is the over all best round.

By... "long gun" are you referring to rifles? if so... I've got a rifle as well, but I'm assuming my 9mm has a bit more knock down power than my granddaddys old bolt action .22 lol. it's good for shooting targets and squirrels, not much else haha

Well I don't wanna tell you how young I was when I had the 9mm Glock, but that may be why I was confortable with it. After talking to a couple a couple of my friends, I am probably going to go with a .40cal.

The Jennings 9mm's do jam alot if you use hollow points. But it's because the bullet get's caught on the firing pin on the inside. ( atleast that's what I think it's called) I filed mine down some and I never had a hollow point jam again. I had the black one like QD has. I lost mine when I had a car wreck a few years ago. Went off a bridge and had to swim it and lost my gun. Damn, I miss her she saved my life a few times. :(

Me and QD are meeting at the show at 1pm if any of you all wanna meet us there. Im gonna get me a peice so I can cap any of you all instead of just banning you all. Plus now that Brittanee is 15 if she has a boy ask her out on a date, I can pistol whip his ass first.

Well I wouldn't bring a bolt action .22 to a gun fight but I would be happy with an AR-15. Neither of the two guns have the knock down power for someone 250lbs + but would want the larger round of the 9mm. If I have to shoot I don't want to take any chances of needing 3-4 rouns to stop someone, 1 shot and he stops with a, .40 cal. or .45 in most instances.
