i have to say Fireworks, i use both and unless you do straight graphics or print work use photoshop, but fireworks has everything and more... i personaly do alot more media/web oriented work so the macromedia suites is where its at for me.

I guess Im going to have to try it. Photoshop is alot of fun and I usually take on requests just cause I enjoy it.. I've found out exactly how I want my car to look by photoshop..

I'm with photoshop. I've only used Fireworks once, and that was because I wanted to make a flash navigation menu.

Fireworks. Photoshop is not intuitive enough. Maybe i'm just used to the Macromedia Studio. Everything is where it should be, as photoshop makes you struggle to do the simplest of things. I'm sure I'd like photoshop a little more if I had more skills with it.

^ ya man i feel ya...

photoshop is like a swiss army knife... if you just want a knife buy fireworks, but if you want knife+gadgets buy photoshop.

I've just got some accustomed to Photoshop, I can't use any other program. I guess I'll have to try Fireworks sometime though.

I use both daily for work. I am very used to both, and each have their strong points. Generally, Fireworks is better with optimizing the output for the web, while Photoshop is superior for print work. You cannot go wrong with either though. Simply choose the one that is easiest for you to learn, or get both if you have to use it for business. Some methods are easier in one program than inthe other, but just about everything can be done in each.

I use paint shop pro, i've been using it for a very long time now. I've used many different programs, but i found psp moreofmy liking. PS was fun and good for things, but i still choose psp over ps. fireworks was just a thumbs down for me...but then again last time i used it was 2 or 3 years ago....
