Read that earlier, still 5 times larger, and orbiting a sun much smaller then ours and they say is a very cold planet. When they say "earthlike" they mean in the way its the first planet they have found in the size range as ours. All the others have been massive ( 10x larger then jupiter ) and have been gas planets, this one is a solid but still woul dbe to far from the sun to hold life like ours atleast. But they are excited cause like I said, its the first one they have found remotley close to our own size. They have found 160 planets in the past 10 years. And its 20,000 light years from our own, just so ya know :)

yeah, I just read that too. It's to bad it is -364 F* which is almost as cold as pluto.
saying that planet(I'm not accusing you) is like Earth is like saying a Pinto is like a Champ Car because they both have engines and wheels.IMHO

I agree, when they say earthlike though, Like I said they mean in mass, not anyother way right now. Look at it this way, EVERY planet they have found as of yet has orbited very close to thier stars they orbit ( As close or closer then Mecury ) and they have been 10X the size of Jupitor ( Biggest in our solar system ) and they are all gas planets ( Meaning no solid core/land mass ) like ours. This new planet falls in our range due to size, it being solid, and orbiting a bit further from its star, But till I agree, Nothing lik eours so its not technically "Earth like"
