ok i i just finished a y7/a6 swap in my 91 dx hatch and i ran 15.2 at 90mph with no tach stock dookies and i/h/e fully guted in 1/4 and i want to break into 14s atleast for know and since i ran 15.2 i have put in a tach,fpr. and neuspeed upper strut bar .havent ran it yet will the fpr help me break into 14s or what else should i do?thanx

15.2 is good for your setup! the FPR wont help, and likely the strut bar will make very little difference anywhere other than the twisties. Id recommend a Si tranny, and a lightweight flywheel and maybe a new clutch and you should be set.. i think youd be in the 14.9s ~ 15 flat with that. im assuming youve alreayd got mpfi.

15.2 is very good for a SOHC, how much power does it put down? I'm not going to lie, I ran a 15.4 at best w/ my B16 @ 150 whp :(.

your time is pretty normal for your car, mods, etc... without getting into cams and stuff i dont think your going to get much better than you are right now though. what sort of 60ft times are you getting? maybe tires and practice.. but 15.2 is pretty solid. maybe a 30shot of nitrous or a vtec head swap would land you in the 14s.

go with a 50shot ,a 30 shot isent worth the time. i had a y7 motor in a 91 hatch fully gutted and ran 14.1 at 98mph withi,h,e and a 55 shot on street tires.

tires is a big thing and pratice. do a z6 head swap, usually cost like 150-175 in price, for all parts, and isnt hard if you have a tq wrench. get some decent tires, kuhmo 712's are alright as for as the price. they are street radials, but they seem to still grip pretty good for street tires.

kevin - were you running with your 17's or 16's (cant really tell by the pic) def get some 15's with some good tires, and you should bring your times down in no time

I had ran sucky 15.4 on some 13" steelies w/ the worst tires ever. Ran a 14.8 consistently at 97-98 mph on the DUBS (17s on Kumho 712s) on Sunday.

my best run was 15.2@88mph. stock LS with I/E.

didnt lower psi on 15" tires, full interior, with a buncha tools, ect in the car. did i mention a shot out valve cover gasket lolz?
