Your tint turned purple because you probably used windex or something with ammonia in it to clean.

32% is Georgia law. That's 35% tint w/ glass naturally having 2-3%.

Hüper Optik [www.huperoptik.com/] is probably the best tint made but good luck finding it and good luck paying for it

the higher quality wal-mart tint is probably going to be more reflective (metallic) if you just want plain black then go with the limo tint, good luck though....i know i can't run it anymore...i was getting pulled over at least once a week for 20% but my car is bright white car and had black wheels so it prolly enhanced the darkness of the tint. I pulled it all off and now wanting to put something else on it.

go and see if you can get some sologuard, (sp), i know thats what alot of people have at the pro shops. but i got some autozone tint and there spray stuff and it worked... if you want it dark, just get limo. thats the easiest way.

They usually sell cleaners that are safe for tint. I use rain-x glass cleaner. Here's another site you could check out http://www.llumar.com/na-eng/Automotive/auto.html

what spray stuff neva heard of it!if you still have the sun dots on the hatch then you'll need to spray tint that top 4 inches or so (just like spray paint) OR take a scotch pad and scrub the snot out of them until they come off.

There are plenty of ammonia free glass cleaners...the best you will find is made by Stoner...yeah Stoner Products...it's a black can with a yellow top called Invisible Glass. You won't find a better product.

Those sun dots are made into the glass their not going to come off and the walmart tint is going to turn purple anyway its cheap tint you really can't get good tint unless your a dealer, which I am, if you want some I could probably cut some from a roll that I have and I could sell it to you for what ever size you need or I can tint your windows the right way

it will come off with enough affort. sanding or like said above a razor blade can work.

and the walmart tint is going to turn purple anyway its cheap
this is true in some cases, and amonia(sp) base cleaners will do it too. walmart tint does tend to lighten up.

there is a tint you can buy from autozone/advance autoparts called gila films. i've put this on several cars/trucks with no fade and as you use the right cleaners it won't turn purple

hope this helps

Why buy cheap stuff 2X when you can get it done right for the same amount of money as buying that cheap stuff 2X's???? ;)

BTW, short of puke, I've not seen anything you get on the inside of the windows on a day-to-day basis that just plain ole water and a chamois can't get off. So, there is no need for ammonia based products ever IMO.
