I was originally going to use an AEM/UEGO but I was introduced to the Autronic which was made by the guy who designed MoTeC. The guy who was going to tune my car originally told me not to use the AEM, as it had too many problems and Autronic was loads better. I still dunno a whole lot about the Autronic but I know people are making serious power on the AEM.

My boy in Houston has a 240sx with an SR putting down 545rwhp with a dejetro/power fc combo that he picked up for $900. I was considering that as well. I see that FJO makes standalones as well and I know they make REALLY good diagnostic/monitoring hardware but they cost a fortune..

I don't really want to spend a whole fuck load of money but I do want to get a really good tune out of this. Can any tuners shed light on this?

im throwing AEM EMS into both my supra and Ae86 it gives you total control over everything also make sure you have a good tuner to tune AEM

Autronic

Other choices:
If you have the money - Motec
If you don't - Haltech

Steve Kan is who you would like to have do your tuning. Check him out at GothamRacing.com. He comes to Atlanta a good bit (he's from here)

I have a total of 5 AEMs now, the only problem the aem really has is that it is to adjustable.

Its too good. Also keep in mind that 99% of people on this board have no idea how to tune a standalone or for that matter even what it is.

I voted for the aem but thats what I am used to, you can monitor every vital engine function. I have one on a 240 and it works fine.
