Hello i have two kicker solo baric L7 02 version and a alpine MRD 1005 2005 model. My problem is that i cant turn it all the way up cuz then its all distored but when i had a smaller amp (MRD 501) it didnt sound bad. The box i have it in is 3. cubic feet bigger then it should be. Think if i get a new box it would probly work fine and the distortion be gone? How much would someone charge to make me a box with the desging i want it in? I have a 2002 ford explorer, and if you want to see pics and want to pm so i can give you my ideas just pm me or reply to post. Thanks for your time hope some one can help me with this problem.

Thats the box i have the subs in right now. Its too big and i want the subs in there own chamber. And its heavy as crap. I dont mind the weight but it dont look nice. And when it does slid it knocks the crap out of my back.

Its in a ported box. I did have a enclosed box but it was too small and looked like the sub was about to pop out.

I want it to cover the back and make it look like it came out of the factory. I still want to be able to use the first storage compartment, and not taller then the back seats. i want it to be from one side to the other but dont mind going the cheap way.

This is how the back looks like.

was that box made for thoses subs? see the problem with putting subs in a ported box is that the box needs to be built for the spec of that sub. when the box is sealed its a differnt story. but if you have 2 subs that call for 3 cubic ft and u have them in a 4 cubib ft box. its gonna sound like crap and distored and your gonna end up blowing your subs.( MY statement is not refering to you im just saying in general ) but unless you get the rigt box for those speakers dont turn that amp up your gonna fry the coils.
