theres not many worthwhile mods to a mk1 mr2 other than a 4agze swap.

wrong. how bout a black top 20v(ITB/high compression/available 6 speed/very high reving), or turboing a silvertop 20v, or a 3SGTE swap from a MK2 (common swap called a MK1.5), or how bout a 1zz/2zz swap (seen couple of these, hell if it comes from a front wheel drive car its possible and pretty easy to swap it into a MK1. check out www.MR2OC.com and look at bill strongs 8.2 liter 500 cid cadillac motor swaped into a MK1, or his 4.6 liter northstar project.

yeah i was talking about for a basic bolt in swap. nearly any fwd 4a style engine would fall into the same catagory as the 4agze. theres hundreds of good motors than can go in any car with fabrication!

well then i think you should open a TRD catalog and see how many bolt ons there are for the 4AG. there are so many options with the stock motor its wouldmake your head spin. everything from turbos to carbs to twincharger setups to full tune N/A. so pretty much whatever you want as far as parts in an MR2 its out there. also the 3SGTE swap only requires different motor mounts which are sold on the forum. so its basically a bolt in job. and all the 1.6 4AG motor may all look alike, but they are all very different. different blocks (there are different ribbed/ported), heads, cams, Intake mani's, pistons, rods, ECU's, trans (some are different and gearing is different as well) etc
