You know my first car was a 22hp fiat 500, then 2 Yugo gl's then in America I got the privilage to own a Yugo 45, which was the special edition that had 45hp. Though in America I took a look around and saw it was'nt all that, and after 3 weeks of owning it, I took it to an automatic carwash, which was a big no-no since that was the last time it ran. I did trade in the non runing yugo for 500$ while buying a 92 probe. It was a 499$ profit since I bought the yugo for 1$ from a friend, since by law they couldnt give the car away for free.

Hrmmm...best cars for what?

Resale and reliability would probably be Japan & they're finally starting to produce fullsize trucks that are comparible to our pushrod beasts.

Style would have to be Europe: Particularly Italy & Germany but the UK is finally producing beautiful lucas free  cars...Lotus, etc. France has Bugatti, etc. Thank you again Porsche for FINALLY removing the Boxster headlights :goodjob:

America...they are good for....errr...and great for...umm... I'm sure if i think hard enough and have enough time i can come up with something positive. I mean, several models of Acura, BMW, and Mercedes are considered American made right?

america has jeep :thumbsup:blah, jeep  The high-end grand cherokees have some of the most comfortable seats but like all of them they seem to have crazy random electrical problems and glitches. The wrangler or whatever it's called now body is a great start to build a real off-road vehicle....but jeeps "trail-rated" selling point annoys me. Of couse no other vehicle made is "trail-rated", jeep has that phrase trademarked! Freakin American manufacturers always leading people on....

I said America b/c the question is "who Makes the best cars?" some of ya'll may know that most Hondas, BMW, Toyota, and some Mercedes are made in the USA. that's how I came to my decision.
btw: I think imports are more reliabe b/c of how well people who own imports treat their cars.
btwx2: I've been to several Honda and BWM dealers and their service drives are always busy :2cents:

yeah i definately wouldnt be bragging about jeep being american. with the exception of the wrangler, the rest of their lineup is garbage. toyota and honda service drives are always busy because people typically maintain them fairly well compared to domestic models. i think ford is by far the best american vehicle line.. and i wouldnt touch a gm with a 30ft pole.

I think it all depends on how you define "best car". Is it "best looking", "best quality", "best in reliability", "best built", etc.

I think Europe by far has some of the best looking cars around, however, they are just like a spoiled little girl, EXTREMELY HIGH MAINTENCE. If you neglect them in any type of way, it will cost you. You end up spending an ass load just to maintain the car.

I think as far as realibility and quality, Japan has it hands down.

If we are talking trucks, then I think American would beat all.

It's kinda depressing to see my pratically stock ass woop up on 1 of those on 575s. :(lol, i was in Kennessaw last weekend and had one buck up on me as i was cruising past...i let off and let him do his thing a few more times before dropping it into third and walked passed him...he instantly let off as soon as he realized i was pulling hard  Pher was behind me and saw it all.....the earlier ones might not be that fast but they can still handle remarkably.
